How MINT Transformed Their Website to Attract Players

The Munich International Ultimate Frisbee Club (MINT) sought a website redesign to attract new players. The project emphasized a user-friendly design with clear calls-to-action and minimal distractions through whitespace. Although the final design has evolved, the objective of fostering team growth and recruitment was successfully achieved.

Keep calm
and huck it.

Project Background
My first design project – Munich International Ultimate Frisbee Club or as they are more commonly known MINT is a group of, you guessed it, mixed international ultimate frisbee players. The Minties regularly compete in grass and beach tournaments around Europe and recently hosted a tournaMINT of their own.

Joining the Team

Having already designed their own logo and style guide the team was looking to build a website that was minty fresh and geared towards welcoming new players into the fold.

Final Thoughts

While the entirety of my design is no longer in use, I feel that the brief of emphasizing the teams desire to grow and recruit was met.

Placing the CTA above the fold helped users to open up a quicker line of communication with the team, leading to new and potential members.

Cleaning up the design by emphasizing the use of whitespace helped minimize distractions and allowed visitors to easily find the information they were looking for.

Like what you see?

Let’s build something together.
